Makeda Lara Brown
Staff Tax Accountant
As a Staff Tax Accountant, Makeda’s primary role is to ensure clients’ tax needs are met according to federal statutes and regulations while maintaining Worth Tax Advisors’ approach of client advisory services.
She started her career in accounting in Jamaica and has continued to grow and develop her skills since 2004. She later transitioned to a tax preparer role with a multinational North American corporation and prior to joining Worth Advisors, she served in a similar role for a small firm where she functioned as a Senior Accountant with bookkeeping, tax returns, and payroll experience.
Makeda hails from Kingston, Jamaica. She received her BSc in Accounting from the University of Phoenix while also attending the Borough of Manhattan Community College. She aspires to pursue her C.P.A. licensure in the near future.
Makeda enjoys spending time and traveling with family and friends. She’s passionate about enjoying her career while fulfilling all clients’ financial needs.
